-logos are used to introduce the evidence or basis for decisions about this issue.

-we are told what is in the canal that is affecting the people, what people are getting affected, how the contaminants spread, and the behaviors the people are practicing for this to happen

Purpose

– ethos is used to show what authority has been looking into this issue 

– Background (site description and history; demographics) 

-explains how the canal was created and its history of how it was used. Creates a timeline

-explains efforts to solve the issue of the canal being highly population

-timeline of how the canal affect community is provided and how the authority figures have worked to fix it

-ages of people affected and how close they are to the affected area

-defines what the status of the community is 

Discussion

-explain where and how data was collected

-explains each study done and explain its results

-also explains materials and procedures

-data tables and other result visuals have been added as well.

Community Health Concerns 

-pathos used to voice the concerns of the affected community 

-comment: concern of community member response: information provided by the researcher 

-response explain situation and provide available resources to help 

-resources provided to contact community leaders and websites offer to find resources

Conclusions

-summary of how the canal affects the community 

-reintroduces the important takes away from the report

-shares information about limitations of the research 

-including how the issue could have been improved or how the community can be  aware of the issue

-uses ethos to push for action necessary to be taken to avoid this issue.
